Central Watch Security Limited operates three distinct departments:
- Department CW1 provides uniformed security personnel for business, public sector and domestic premises.
- Department CW2 provides store detectives, staff search, test purchase, typically to retail and other commercial premises.
- Department CW3 provides private investigation and surveillance services.

Department CW1
Provides officers to serve, protect and monitor in both places of businesses and private properties.
Uniformed Security Officer
Central Watch Security Limited Security Officers are trained to the highest standard in contract guarding. Uniformed officers can make all the difference between your premises becoming the target for undesirables. The presence of uniformed officers in your premises whatever the nature of your business acts as a foil for the plans of undesirables who costs business thousands of pounds each year.
Uniformed officers can make all the difference between your premises becoming a target for shoplifters and other undesirables or a place where your customers feel free to browse and carry out their legitimate transactions.
Security Receptionist
A security receptionist provides the services of a regular reception with the added bonus of security for your staff, clients and your premises.
A security receptionist will ensure that all visitors to your premise are appropriately screened and they are issued with visitor ID cards or they have signed the visitors log.
The result is undesirables are kept out, preventing incidents that may prove harmful to your organisations corporate image.
Special Duties
This includes vehicle searching if this is required, and any other duty our client deems necessary.
Private House Monitoring
Going away on holiday? Do you have a property that is vacant? Then our house and property monitoring service is ideal we provide personnel who will carry out daily visit or visits that are numbered and structured to suit your needs to the property to prevent your premises being robbed or vandalised.
We also provide fully vetted staff to act as house sitters in your absence.
Department CW2
Provides such services as store detectives and test purchases as
well as such sensitive areas as staff searches.
Plain Clothes Detectives and Store Detectives
Store detectives duties range from the patrolling of sales-floors in order to observe and apprehend shoplifters, to the completion of specific in-store loss prevention checks. Our detectives undergo extensive training and are aware of all legal aspects. A full statistical breakdown of all work carried out will be made available to the client.
Test Purchase
In an effort to assist our clients in the limitations of losses at till points Central Watch Security can carry out three types of test purchases.
- Procedural: A test purchaser will carry out a transaction at a till point and report on the accuracy of the till operator.
- Standard: Two operatives will attend a store where one will carry out a high temptation purchase, the second operative will report and act on the cashiers actions.
- Staff Awareness: A test purchaser with written instructions will pass through the till point and attempt to remain undetected with hidden items about their person.
Staff Search
Experienced operatives can visit our client's premises and carry out random staff searches. An extension of this service is our Out of Hours service, where an operative will arrive at the premises prior to closing. They will report on the closing activity when the staff are leaving for the night. The operative will then back into the perform a staff search. A full report is compiled and forwarded to the client. Our standard form can be tailored to suit individual client requirements.
Department CW3
Operates at the other end of the security spectrum from Department
CW1. It provides private investigation services as well as other
related services including covert cameras.
Private Investigation
If you suspect anyone of dishonesty or acting unethically and you need to have them monitored in order to prove or disprove your suspicions we can provide video and photographic evidence and a report completed and presented to the relevant person.
Covert Cameras
We provide and monitor hidden cameras and all our findings are then compiled in a report to be passed on to the relevant person with responsibility for further action.
Pricing Policy
We do not quote prices below a commercially acceptable level to obtain a contract. Each contract is priced so that all specified work can be completed satisfactorily and in accordance with the required frequency schedule. However Contract Management is flexible and has the authority to act swiftly to accommodate any changes in our clients' requirements.
Client Survey
Our client survey will establish:
- Vulnerable areas;
- Operating conditions, including security requirements;
- Correct interpretation of the clients own specification, to draw up individual security recommendations and proposals; and
- Health and Safety risk assessments.
